Future of Shamanism –
Does Shamanism Still Have a Future?
Western shamanism is stuck in its culture of waiting and in its insistence on traditions with rituals that have become ineffective in the present.
The future of shamanism will also depend on whether it can free itself from this rigidity.
Times have changed fundamentally. For us at “Licht aus der Jurte”, ignoring the current revolution of new consciousness technologies is not an option.
What Are We Still Waiting For?
The universality of human thought, once a uniquely human quality, has been taken over by new factories of thought. And, like the pure power of thought once did, it leads to power.
Regina Hruska: “When thinking is not connected with the heart, that is, with compassionate love, it grows cold, and intellectual activity becomes driven by machine perfection, leading to the extinction of inner freedom. Opening the forces of the heart and creating a path for them into the head is part of the training programme in ‘Spiritual Healing – Healing Shamanism’ and in the shamanic training. So, for shamans at the Shamanic Centre Vienna, this is nothing new, but part of our daily work.”

Western shamanism offers drumming evenings, combinations with other methods, herbal courses, abbreviated forms of knowledge in evening courses or on YouTube channels, etc.
These may be pleasant, but in our opinion they move away from the core competence of shamanism.
The shell, the hardenings, are no longer broken open from within, and as a result, a distancing from the original spirit can be observed.
While the work on these inner hardenings is losing importance, forces are arising in the outer world that intervene ever more deeply in human consciousness.
Alongside this, we observe a fixation of human consciousness on attention technologies that create the Mephistophelian double in the outer world.
This double is certainly many times more intelligent than the one every human being has carried within since birth and which, in the shamanic training at “Licht aus der Jurte”, must be recognised, healed and redeemed. This is also necessary in order not to be spiritually overwhelmed by material forces.

In the shamanic journey, as it takes place at “Licht aus der Jurte”, the female shaman herself becomes, among other things, a mirror into which beings of light from the spiritual world of truth are reflected.
Death and dying are of central importance in this shamanic journey. As are the soul-paths of the deceased, their spiritual realms in the bright light and in the dark realms of shadow. Proceeding from immortality as it is revealed to us in reincarnation, karma and future karma.
Immortality Gains a Double
Today, this ancient knowledge of death and immortality is confronted by an entirely different conception of immortality.
Western shamanism cannot ignore the digital spirits that, through their presence, have become part of many people’s lives. Immortal avatars are real in a world of old worldviews that is collapsing. And people who are still alive are already being prepared for this immortality.
Personalised magical illusions such as digital partners, psychotherapists and psychologists are very real. Understanding recognition of the other has increasingly given way to personalised magical illusions.
Churches no longer offer any options. They will not develop towards new spiritual realms but remain on their descending paths. Official churches attempt to preserve the old instead of pursuing thinking recognition and leave the latest developments to the outer world.
The underlying feeling of many people within this modern intellectualism, with its precision and fixation, is an advancing twilight of the gods.

What Does the Future of Shamanism Need?
In our view, it cannot ignore the 2,000 years during which Christ consciousness – that is, brotherly love – descended to Earth.
Nor can it ignore compassionate love, whose path was prepared by Gautama Buddha 500 years before the birth of Christ.
Nor all those mythologies and mysteries that we at “Licht aus der Jurte” have worked with for more than 20 years.
Nor the sciences, which have developed extraordinary tools for healing.
Nor extreme technologies such as medical nanobots and other techniques for expanding human intelligence.
Nor AI in all its facets, which is here to stay and will continue to develop.
And, not least, the changes in nature and the Earth, where that which has been desecrated and profaned will have to be made sacred again from within.
Born Through the Pangs of Destiny
The new consciousness of the human being will also be born within Western shamanism through the pangs of destiny.
Despite all the cleverness of Western shamans, we notice that their shamanic tools are following a process of chaotisation and that the newly created foundations have begun to falter. The old world lies within a shrunken space in which that which belongs to the future cannot develop.
What will it take for the human being to become permeated with truth in thinking, with love in feeling and with willpower?
What decisions and guiding paths will be needed to contact those spiritual beings and cosmic intelligences whose guidance works for the world-whole?

At “Licht aus der Jurte”, we live and work in an earthly tent, and yet we live in a space that was not built by hands.
People who wish to call themselves shamans must work with their spiritual Self, using their thinking to drive out the soulless anti-spirit, the death of thinking.
From understanding recognition to knowing cognition, to the treasures of wisdom, to knowledge. Then new lights can be kindled.
